MEANWHILE......PRAISE FOR BUDDY THE WAR DOG
Completely unsolicited this is eight year old Algie’s opinion of Buddy the War Dog by J.A.McEnnis as stated on his school report from his Dulwich prep school
in London.
His teacher was very impressed and praised Algie’s use of a mature vocabulary including onomatopoeia and similes to add excitement to poems and stories.
She added: “Algie can read a range of text fluently and is able to answer literal and retrieval questions with ease. He has shown enthusiasm in reading a range of different genres and
particularly enjoyed Buddy the \War Dog.”
What a great report. Well done Algie! and I am delighted you enjoyed the stories of Buddy the War Dog. How brave was he!

At home in Cornwall Bod is proud of his ancestor, Buddy, and listens in amazement to the stories of his narrow escapes, and near-death experiences during World War II.
In fact, Bod is so keen to hear more he asks the author, J.A. McEnnis, to read to him, especially what happens when Buddy is parachuted from an aircraft behind enemy lines!
Thinking everything through,Bod dreams of helping Buddy through the forest to escape the fire which is getting closer every minute!
